The ever-growing industrialization demands awareness and practicing the tools and techniques driving the sustainability in all the associated processes. Manufacturing is one of the major domains where all the resources such as personnel, material and machines are utilized. This demands sustainability to be practiced in all the manufacturing systems, such as designing, production and planning, production processes, quality control, maintenance, shop floor layout, material handling, waste management, etc. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming quite important and instrumental as it is driving the sustainability through automation in all these areas.
